We started our day with a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Walking across the bridge gives you a great view over Manhattan and Brooklyn. Once across we had a some pizza at the base of the bridge. After resting up we took the subway to Harlem and walked down Central Park from north to south. The park was full of people celebrating 4th of July by barbecuing and playing music. The atmosphere was great and people were very courteous and helpful. We definitely recommend checking out Harlem. We concluded the 4th of July celebrations by meeting up with some Norwegian friends near De Witt Clinton Park to see the fireworks over Hudson River.
