From Oslo to Hong Kong

Heading out on a journey from Oslo to Hong Kong tomorrow. The journey is over 12000 kilometers long and we will spend 7 weeks on it. Passing through places like Moscow, Ulan Bator, the Gobi desert, Xian and Hong Kong the trip will be done mostly by train; some areas will be crossed by river boats and buses. I can't wait to get going.

  2. This is a great idea - something not many people have the balls to do! What made you want to do it? Did you take 7 weeks off work? I am planning on doing something similar here in the UK. Would be great to hear back from you.

    1. Thanks :) I took two months off work to do this journey. I always wanted to go to China and I never liked flying because I always thought about how many cool places I passed over without seeing. So I decided to do the trip over land. I started planning the trip in mid 2010 while I was driving over the United States.
