Back to Tokyo

Before leaving Kyoto we checked out Kyoto tower to see the 360 degree view of the city. The tower is 113 meters tall and situated just across the train station. A perfect way to end our visit here.

The Shinkansen took us back to Tokyo. We made our way from Tokyo Station to Sendagaya by train and subway. We had a hard time finding the apartment but with help from kind locals we finally arrived at our Airbnb place. The apartment was delicately designed in Japanese style and we loved it!
Shibuya awaited us. A quick 2 minute subway ride and we were suddenly in the middle of Shibuya crossing and millions of neon lights and billboards.
The weather was freezing and it had snowed earlier for the first time in 54 years in Tokyo. We walked up and down the streets trying to plan our evening. We soon learned that the best way is to just go with the flow. So we ate fried noodles, partied at Fightclub with cage boxing, ate tapas at an Italian restaurant and found an underground club, ready for a night out. We met some people, danced and learned a few Japanese phrases. All in all a packed and fun first day back in Tokyo. Kanpai!
