Huangshan Mountain - Day 1

After a 6-hour bus ride from Shanghai, we arrived in Tangkou, the base for our mountain excursion. We spent the night and early the next morning we got ready to ascend Huangshan mountain, also known as the Yellow mountain. We chose to walk up the eastern steps, as this was the shortest route up to the summit, "only" 7,5 km of steps uphill. The views got more and more breathtaking the higher we got. We took a late night walk around the summit after dinner and then took an early night just to get the most out of the next day.
